Who we are

Cognit is an early-stage project, not yet a registered company. This website is run by the founder of Cognit, a private individual based in Finland, who is responsible (the controller) for the personal data described below.

The short version

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from third parties. The only personal data we receive is what any web server sees when you visit, and anything you choose to send us by email.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is necessary to run a website and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data outside the EU; it is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Emailing us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Email is received through our email provider and kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Finnish data protection authority, theOffice of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Changes

If we add features that handle more data, such as accounts or analytics, we will update this page first.
